pass through walls? which chipset?

Postby aludnakvissu » Thu Jul 29, 2010 6:09 pm

Does AIR HD have the new Amimons 2nd generation baseband chipsets, AMN2120/3110 & AMN2220/3210 ?

I live in atown home so can it send wireles signal from my living room downstairs to upstairs bedroom?

I know that we can use AIR HD to send HDMI signal from Computer to a HD TV, but can The IR blaster be used to send keyboard and mouse signal to the computer?

I have Microsoft IR keyboard

@aludnakvissu - The transmission range of the Air HD is up to 65 feet line-of-sight and the Air HD Pro is up to 100 ft line-of-sight. I have tried this with my setup in a townhouse and was able to beam a signal from the transmitter on the first floor up to a receiver on the second floor. I am unsure if you would be able to use the IR blaster for that configuration.
Kind regards,

Tony

Thanks for the reply.

So what is the rage of AIR HD and Air HD pro with out line of sight? because I can not get line of sight in town house? Can it send signal through walls?

Is the Air HD pro released? as I dont see it in your website product list.

Can you tell me which Amimon chipset does these products use for WHDI?

@ aludnakvissu - The AirHD is using the AMN2120/3110. The signal will travel through walls and floors but the distance will be diminished. I have been able to get it to work without issue at approximately 30 Feet

Tony
